The Packaging Engineer is a technical liaison between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers. This individual will resolve all incoming part packaging specification needs. Handles internal packaging / dunnage designs in order to present transmission direct material according to requirement to the operator at an assembly line. Works as an integral part of the material planning team. Defines the individual requirements and proposes optimum packaging in terms of quality, cost and timing. The Packaging Engineer applies diversified knowledge of packaging engineering principles and practices to produce and/or coordinate the solutions to complex supply chain packaging problems.

Will assist in developing and implementing a Warehouse Management System that will help ensure that parts/materials move through the warehouse in the most efficient and cost-effective way. While causing minimal interruption to day-to-day operations.
