Industrial Engineer

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Provide the necessary resources to assist and support daily production in problem resolution (e.g. quality issues, downtime, operator training, problem solving, etc.).
  • Lead in the development, refinement, and documentation of assembly line work instructions.
  • Lead in all capacity analysis, time study, line balance, and workflow through the entire assembly process.
  • Develop simulation analysis and validate continuous improvement action plans.
  • Lean processes, continuous improvement, assembly time optimization, material and information flow optimization, minimal inventories.
  • Proactively and efficiently agree on deliverables, define requirements, and communicate progress with program teams and with remote functional experts based at the corporate guidelines and in the plants.
  • Support program management and launch planning activities including planning and prioritizing of industrial activities and resources, up to date documentation of goals, activities, achievements, gaps, corrective actions, specs, contracts, contingency plans etc.
  • Facility launch planning and ensure smooth successful launch of a new manufacturing plant.
  • Ensure and enforce team members’ compliance with all company policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS PROFILE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in automotive manufacturing/assembly.
  • Lean Manufacturing and JIT production system implementation.
  • Working level knowledge in AutoCAD, test systems, machine controls and human/machine interface systems, IT infrastructure, MES, simulation, and maintenance management systems.
  • Knowledge of material flow concepts, lean layout, ergonomics, quality systems, tooling systems, gaging systems including GD&T.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
