Controls Engineer – Direct Hire, No Travel! (Afternoon)

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains Process FMEA, PLC Programs and Documentation
  • Initiates process improvement efforts and supports quality improvement efforts
  • Designs and troubleshoots control systems for tooling, fixtures, and workmanship aids
  • Develops Engineering procedures and work instructions
  • Supports continuous improvement teams with needed analyses
  • Develops, specifies and/or purchases machine control systems

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience in production controls support
  • Allen Bradley or Siemens PLC experience preferred, but will consider other ‘flavors’
  • Preferred: Ignition HMI development, Kuka Robotics and servo-press experience

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • STRONG sense of urgency, flexibility and customer-centric approach providing production support
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to read drawings and use precision measuring devices
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
