Controls Engineer – Direct Hire, No Travel! (Afternoon)
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains Process FMEA, PLC Programs and Documentation
- Initiates process improvement efforts and supports quality improvement efforts
- Designs and troubleshoots control systems for tooling, fixtures, and workmanship aids
- Develops Engineering procedures and work instructions
- Supports continuous improvement teams with needed analyses
- Develops, specifies and/or purchases machine control systems
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in production controls support
- Allen Bradley or Siemens PLC experience preferred, but will consider other ‘flavors’
- Preferred: Ignition HMI development, Kuka Robotics and servo-press experience
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- STRONG sense of urgency, flexibility and customer-centric approach providing production support
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to read drawings and use precision measuring devices
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
