Application Software Simulation & Test Engineer
Job description:
The application software development team develops, maintains & calibrates the software logic and algorithms which control the features & functions of the dual clutch transmissions and the electric drivetrain solutions developed by Tremec.
As Application Software Simulation & Test Engineer you are responsible for the activities concerning simulation & testing of the application software and you will work on the automation of steps in our development & validation process. Specific tasks include:
- Creating full vehicle level simulations including detailed component simulation.
- Creating and maintaining our Software in the Loop (SiL) simulation environment where the software logic runs in closed loop with the vehicle model.
- Developing and maintaining test scenarios and test scripts (Python based) for the application software.
- Supporting configuration of our Hardware in the Loop (HiL) environment and tests executed on that platform.
- Automating development process steps and execution of regression tests to improve our Continuous Integration workflow.
About you:
- Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics or Electromechanical engineering
- Experience with simulations in Matlab Simulink or similar tools
- Experience with scripting in Matlab and Pyhton or similar languages
- Experience with different testing platforms (SiL, PiL, HiL) is a plus
- Strong interest in mechatronics and embedded software, interest in automotive is a plus
- Interest in software testing and automation, interest in CI and DevOps is a plus
- Analytic thinker & problem solver
- Creative mind with an eye for detail
- Able to work independent as well as being a team player
- Good communication and presentation skills
