When it comes to the Corvette, sometimes you get what you want, not what you need.
General Motors has revealed a new iteration of the Corvette ZR1 that it’s calling the fastest and most capable in the nameplate’s history.
With a top speed of more than 210 miles per hour, the 2019 Corvette ZR1 gets 755 horsepower from its 6.2-liter, 8-cylinder supercharged, dual-injected engine.
The ZR1 features a TREMEC TR-6070 7-speed manual transmission with Rev Match.
Designers gave the ZR1 a new fascia “to channel air for propulsion-system and drivetrain cooling,” GM said.
The vehicle comes with a bevy of other performance options.
The ZR1 hits dealerships in the spring.
“I’ve never driven a Corvette like this before, and nobody else has either, because there’s never been one like this before,” GM product chief Mark Reuss said in a statement.
“Its unprecedented performance puts all other global supercars on notice that the ZR1 is back.”
